We began with 701 cigars, but in the end, there could be only one: our Cigar of the Year. We selected 45 of the best from a year of blind tastings in CIGAR AFICIONADO and Cigar Insider, and repurchased them on the market for our annual tournament of champions. The cigars were rebanded and resmoked. After the smoke had billowed through the offices and the ashes had piled up, one cigar was the winner. Here are the top 10 in reverse order. On January 3, we will reveal cigars five through two, and on January 4, we will unveil the number one Cigar of the Year. |
